Delete your MyMurthi account
Last updated: 16 August 2026
This page explains how users of the MyMurthi Android app and web app can request deletion of their account and associated data.
How to request account deletion
- Send an email to support@bemyco.com from the same email address registered on your MyMurthi account.
- Use the subject line: MyMurthi account deletion request.
- Include your registered email, shop name (if any), and a clear statement that you want your account deleted.
- We will verify ownership of the account and process the request. You will receive a confirmation email when deletion is complete (or if we need more information).
Typical processing time: within 30 days of a verified request (often sooner).
What data is deleted
When your owner account and shop are deleted, we delete or irreversibly anonymise:
- Account login details (name, email, phone linked to the user)
- Shop profile and website listing settings (city, area, description, map pin)
- Uploaded shop and idol photos stored for your shop
- Staff logins belonging to your shop
- Operational records tied to your shop (e.g. models/pieces, bookings, customers you entered, expenses), except where retention is required below
What data may be kept (and for how long)
- Billing / tax / invoice records related to subscription payments — kept as required by applicable law (typically up to 8 years in India for certain financial records), then deleted or anonymised
- Security / fraud logs (e.g. limited access logs) — kept for a short period (up to 90 days) unless a longer period is needed for an investigation or legal claim
- Backups — may retain deleted data in encrypted backups for a limited rolling window (up to 90 days), after which they are purged with the backup cycle
Delete some data without deleting your account
Yes — you can request deletion or removal of specific data while keeping your account:
- In the app / web dashboard: edit or remove profile fields, take your public shop listing offline, remove gallery/cover photos, and update or remove business records you control
- Or email support@bemyco.com describing which data you want deleted (subject: MyMurthi data deletion request)
Staff accounts
Staff logins are controlled by the shop owner. Staff should contact their shop owner to disable access. Owners can request full shop/account deletion using the steps above.
